Faith is an accronym that means: F - FORGIVNESS: We cannot have eternal life and Heaven without God's forgiveness. "In Him (Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Ephesians 1:7a NKJV (This means: New King James Version of the Bible. All quotes on this page are from that version of the Bible)
A - AVAILABLE: Forgiveness is available and is AVAILABLE FOR ALL. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:17 BUT NOT AUTOMATIC:"Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of Heave." Matthew 7:21a
I - IMPOSSIBLE: It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. God is: LOVE John 3:16 JUST "For judgement is without mercy." James 2:13a MAN IS SINFUL "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
This brings an interesting question - "How can a sinful person enter heaven where God allows no sin?"
T - TURN. If you were driving down a road and someone asked you to turn what would they be asking you to do? They'd be asking you to change direction. In this instant "turn" means repent or change your direction from sin and self. "But unless you repent you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:3b Turn to Christ "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the thrird day according to the Scriptures." I Corinthians 15:3b-4 "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
H - HEAVEN. Heaven is eternal life both HERE, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10b, and HEREAFTER "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I wceive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:3
So, how can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven, eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord? By FAITH. Through a simple prayer and you can be saved: "Dear God I am a sinner. I am a sinner by birth and by desire and I wish to be forgiven for these sins. I want to turn away from my sinful self and turn toward your Son Jesus. I believe that Your Son Jesus is the Christ and Lord whom You raised from the grave and sent to redeem me. I ask for Jesus to be my Lord and Savior and come into my life and save me now."
